The ITER Project
The world’s most ambitious nuclear fusion project
Argon in the ITER Ecosystem
ITER is the world’s most ambitious nuclear fusion project — 34 nations collaborating to demonstrate that the energy of the stars can become an industrial-scale energy source. Argon General Construct operates within this project’s industrial supply chain through its collaboration with SIMIC S.p.A.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
ITER — International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor
ITER is the world’s most ambitious energy and scientific project. Built in southern France at Cadarache, the ITER tokamak is designed to prove the feasibility of nuclear fusion as a large-scale, carbon-free energy source.
The project brings together 34 nations — the European Union, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the United States — in an unprecedented collaborative effort. Construction of the tokamak began in 2020, with the primary goal of producing a stable fusion plasma capable of generating ten times more energy than it consumes.
